The 1st Philippine Urological Association International Urological Summit brought together leading minds and trailblazers in the field of urology from across the globe. With the theme “Breaking Barriers in Prostate Health: Pioneering Technologies for Benign and Malignant Diseases,” the summit focused on advancing clinical practice, enhancing patient outcomes, and integrating cutting-edge technologies in prostate health management.
Held from May 29 to June 1, 2025 at the scenic Nina Hotel in Tsuen Wan West, Hong Kong, the event welcomed prominent urologists, researchers, and medical professionals who shared the latest developments in diagnostics, therapeutics, and surgical innovations for both benign and malignant prostate diseases.
A key highlight of the summit was the sponsored symposium by DynaMed, in collaboration with Olympus, titled “PLASMA+ Endless Possibilities.” The session showcased the forefront of surgical technology, emphasizing the revolutionary capabilities of the versatile all-in-one energy platform designed for general surgery, urology, and gynecology.
The PLASMA+ platform integrates multiple modalities—including Hybrid, Advanced Bipolar, Ultrasonic, Monopolar, Bipolar, and PLASMA+—offering unmatched flexibility and efficiency in the surgical suite. This innovation not only ensures optimal clinical outcomes but also simplifies the surgical environment by eliminating the need for multiple standalone devices.
Attendees were given in-depth insights into how this technology is reshaping minimally invasive surgery and improving the precision and safety of urologic procedures.
Throughout the four-day summit, attendees engaged in thought-provoking plenaries, hands-on workshops, and collaborative forums. Sessions covered topics from robotic-assisted surgery and personalized prostate cancer management to new imaging modalities and AI integration in urology.
This international gathering marked a pivotal step toward strengthening global ties and paving the way for innovative, patient-centered care in prostate health.
